David “Dadou” Brunet F4FKT-FT4YM is approaching his 5th Antarctic Campaign!
We have just received some fresh info from David who is going to head Concordia Station (WAP MNB-Ø3) around October 25th.
The actual David plans include Little Dome C (WAP MNB-15), then he hopes to visit the Australian drilling base MYIC-DCN Dome C North (Dome Concordia North) the Australia’s deep-ice drilling and field research site at 75° 02′ 31.9″ South, 123° 37′ 52.3″ East. (WAP AUS-NEW).
David also reports that he will be active from mid-November 2026 through the end of January 2027, then spending 5 to 7 days at DDU (WAP FRA-Ø1), followed by the activation of a new site (for which, the authorization is pending).
WAP, confident in interpreting the sentiments of the “Antarctic Hunters” community, wishes David the very best for this new mission, hoping it adds to the remarkable experience he has already gained during his four previous Antarctic campaigns and builds upon the excitement FT4YM has delivered through so many QSOs from quite a few remote sites on the White Continent..
