The Antarctic Treaty sets Antarctica aside as a scientific preserve, establishes freedom of scientific research and bans military activity on the continent. Emperor Penguins and spectacular scenery aside, knowing that Antarctica is the only continent with no confirmed cases of COVID-19 makes it even more appealing. It is an excellent place to holiday, post COVID-19, as it is the ultimate in inert environments.
